Zinc Plating With Wand Kit

I was looking at the zinc plating kit, the type with the wand/brush and power adapter $33 one. My question is I want to do some small nut’s and bolts and special fasteners that are no longer available for my bike. Would this kit be ok for that? I really don’t want to spend $150 on the small bucket type zinc kit for only some nuts and bolts. And would they look like the zinc plating that is found on hardware store type bolts?
