Problems with Copper Conductive paint
Posted by admin on September 22nd, 2009 at 10:39am
I bought a kit from you including a Copper conductive paint to be able to plate some small plastic parts using the dip-n-plate method. I do, however, have a problem with the paint. Firstly it is too thick to go through my airbrush. I tried to thin it down but then the conductiveness dissapeard. So I went for using a brush instead since the parts are small and I then can put on a quite even layer. Observe I use a non thinned paint when doing this. I still have problems that the paint is not conductive in some places leaving small holes in the copper plate.
I also got a tinning solution in my kit that is supposed to make the surface more conductive, but when using it I don’t see any difference at all.
What am I doing wrong?! This is starting to make me crazy!
Very grateful for any advice!!
Thanks!!
