Polishing Stainless sheet?
Posted by admin on August 23rd, 2009 at 07:45am
Has anyone ever tried to polish stainless Steel sheet with a rotary car polisher..heres why I’m asking..
I have to polish a sheet of stainless steel to a mirror finish and its way too heavy to hold up to my polishing wheel…at least for any lenght of time.
So was thinking is it possible to lay the piece down on tressels and use a 240v rotary polisher…..getting the surface up to 1500g first with sandpaper….then not sure what to use as a polishing head…wool mop maybe?…have a few old ones from vehicle polishing…
Has anyone else had to go this route or something similar…
Any help would be greatly appretiated
Regards
Col
