Part hooks… protocol?

Whats the protocol for the wire hooks you use to hang parts?

Do you guys chuck em and make new ones when they accumulate a bit of powder, or is there a product you can soak them in to get them back down to steel? I’ve noticed after I use a hook 2-3 times I start losing the ground through it and throwing them away after each use doesnt seem economical.

Pointers?
