[Need Help] Pre Treatment Sanding for Anodizing Aluminum

Hi , i’m new here .. i want to anodize hexagonal bar aluminum ( Dia. 1", 300 mm length )
First i sand it with 240 grit and then 400 grit in belt sander ( 2900 rpm ) , after that i sand manually with scotch brite VF ( wet , with soap ) .. am i correct for this process in preparing anodizing process ?
