My oven game plan
Posted by admin on April 24th, 2010 at 12:33pm
I was planning on removing all the guts from my house oven and transfering it to a new housing.
Since i am planning on using the wiring from my old oven, i was planning on using the heating element as well, just not sure if it is large enough to heat the new enclosure. If I need to install a larger heating element, what else do I have to upgrade?
Also, i was looking at installing this PID
Dual Digital F/C PID Temperature Control Controller – eBay (item 230390463509 end time May-18-10 10:03:35 PDT)
Ill have to figure out how to wire this in. Is it as simple as removing the currect temp control knob and wiring the PID? anything else i need to support this?
as for the enclosure, i was going to do a metal stud frame, pink house insulation, outside lined with hardi board, and inside thin sheetmetal.
Thanks for any and all help, im a complete newbie to building an oven!
