matching anodizing

Posted by admin on June 10th, 2009 at 02:20pm

Greetings from Australia,

Please pardon the ignorance I am not really a seasoned ano expert.

I am trying to find a way to give raw aluminium edges a clear anodized appearance. on many of my small projects I tend to have raw mill finish exposed edges and clients always want them to match the clear ano .

is there a way to do this without re-?? if yes then how, what can be applied??

it is only for the purpose of short term appeance as my line of work is visual temporary mock ups of aluminium framing and sections. the effect does not have to last more than a few weeks.

the paint method has never worked and have read rumours about using boat varnish.

any help is appreciated.

thanks
