EN "Credits" Clarification

The more I read/study, the more I get confused.. ;-}
I thought I was ready to EN plate, I was going to mix the Part A & C Replenishment amount and am unsure..
The Plan: Mix 5 Pints of EN Solution. Plate a 22 Sq In. part for One Hour to a thickness of 0.001". Simple enough.
The Plating Manual says 0.25oz of Part A and 0.5oz of Part C are: "Amounts required to make up enough to replenish TOTAL amount of credits in tank."
Here is what is confusing to me.. A new Five Pint Mix has a TOTAL amount of 1800 Nickel Credits. Replenish Level is 1260 Credits, a 540 Credit Difference.
Is the 0.25oz Part A & 0.5oz Part C equal to 1800 Credits? or the 540 Credit difference?
If 540 Credits, then the wording ought to be: "amount required to bring Credits back up to original mix".. To me the "Total amount" in the tank is 1800 Credits.. You can see why I’m confused..
Also, If my Plate Time consumes at total of 1320 Credits, roughly two and a half "replenish" amounts of the assumed 540 Credits, should I mix 2.5 times the 0.25oz Part A and 0.5oz Part C ( or 0.625oz Part A & 1.5oz Part C) and dole that out every ten minutes? (approx 0.355 oz each add-in)? I know the "pennies" aren’t critical (more is better), just the nickels and dimes, but I’m just trying to get the idea clear in my cluttered mind.
As usual, any and all help is appreciated.
