Electroless Nickel on Steel and Aluminum

Posted by admin on February 8th, 2010 at 11:58pm

I’ve got a part I want to nickel plate with electroless nickel however, it is composed of both steel and aluminum and can not be disassembled. My question is: is it absolutely necessary that I zincate the piece because of the Aluminum – if so, will the zincate have any bad reaction with the steel?

Thanks,
