Copper electroforming question – newbie
Posted by admin on June 21st, 2009 at 03:29am
I have successfully electroformed a leaf after sealing it and covering with conductive paint. As soon as I remove it from the bath, it is a bright salmon colour but changes extremely rapidly (seconds to minutes) to various blotchy tarnished shades.
As soon as I remove it from the bath I rinse it thoroughly under running water and before it dries it begins changing colour. It does not even give me enough time to dip it in a sealant.
How do I stop it from changing colour?
Thanks in advance for your help!
