Clear masking material – looking for recommendations

Anyone out there recommend a good clear masking material? I’ve tried frisket film, but the two varieties that I’ve tried either leave a lot of residue behind, or don’t stick at all. I love the way green tape works, if I could find that adhesive with a clear face, things’d be perfect. Ohh, almost forgot, it’s got to cut easily too. For example, my hands shake way to much to pinstripe, so I had to cut the white out around the kanji, and spray. So I needed it clear to line things up, and it had to cut well. Wishing I had a plotter.
Clarification-one of the films that didn’t stick to base paint did stick to uro clear. I’m looking for one that sticks to base.
