Barrel Plater

I built myself a barrel plater along the lines of the one featured in the sticky. The results have been great and it has removed all the issues I was experiencing with static plating. The only issue I encountered is the end of the dangler disconnecting from the parts from time to time. Would it be ok to ballast the basket with small stainless steel bolts to maintain connectivity? TIA
