Barrel not annodizing right?
Posted by admin on September 2nd, 2009 at 08:32pm
Okay, so for some odd reason, this barrel I’m trying to do won’t anodize correctly. Everytime I do it, about 40mins into the anodize tank, the rectifier trips and switches over to C.V. mode.
It’s a 14" barrel, so 68.5 sq in. of SA.
For 1mm thickness, at 7CD, this makes 3.33A for 103mins.

For contacts I use Titanium wire and spring tension it inside the barrel bolted to my stainless steel rack.
Any ideas or faults in my math?
