Anoing one part twice

Is it possible to ano one part two times? I have an idea of a part I want make, and part of the finish is going to be two colors. The part is going to be round and knurled, I want the grooves of the knurling to be a differnet color. I’m looking at machining the part, but drilling one mounting hole undersized, anoing black, then cutting the knurles, and boring out the undersized mounting hole (this will leave a nice contact area for the racking) and re anoing and dying the grooves a second color. I’m not sure if the first color (Black) will leach out into my acid, or if the acid will discolor the first color.
