Acid Bath Agitation Methods

Posted by admin on December 18th, 2009 at 11:44am

After learning what happens if you leave the submersible pump in the acid bath (decreased impeller shaft lifespan) I am looking for another agitator. I picked up a similar agitator at the store called a wave maker, but I have been doing some research and see that some people use external air pumps.

Is it ok to use air only? I think an air pump with hoses running into the bath has a longer lifespan and shorter clean up process. I am planning on upgrading my bath from 5 gallons to 30 gallons in the next month or two. I would like to plan accordingly.

Thanks!
